This is why we aren't telling anyone what name we pick because I don't want to hear whey other people think, its our child.
this is why i am not telling anyone either.....grrr!
This route didn't work for me. I had to hear it AFTER baby was born which made it 10x's worse as I was already hormonal and emotional

My mom hates my baby name. She's gone out of her way over the past several months (and every conversation) to tell me how much she dislikes the name.
In the beginning, I ignored it. Then I moved on to the "you've already named three children, it's my turn." Recently, I asked my sister to say something to her. My new tact is to say that while she's entitled to her opinion, she's already made it quite clear and her constant criticism of the name is upsetting me...something I'm sure she doesn't intend to do. That's seems to have worked.
