WWYD regarding dentist
If you thought you were going to O around Saturday....would u schedule a dentist appointment for that day knowing you may need some dental work? I am having a real bad tooth ache and trouble eating. The best day for me to go in is this Sat. but i will probably O on or around that day. do u think it is safe for me to go in knowing i am TTC?
ETA: I could possibly go thursday, but i would need to miss part of work and i am very low on sick time, saturday would really be ideal

Do you need x-rays? If you need a root canal or something like that I would call your obgyn and ask but I would think it not good to put off.

Re: WWYD regarding dentist
I had my regularly scheduled dentist appointment two days after I O'ed and they wanted to do x-rays. I told them I was TTC and they just did the cleaning and exam. I had a root canal before I was PG and they had to do x-rays. I would call your obgyn tomorrow and ask them what you should do. HTH.

Re: WWYD regarding dentist
I think you would be advised to take care of any problems now, as you would never make it 9 months if you needed a root canal. I would call your OB tomorrow and explain the situation and see what they say. I would "think" that the xrays would be the only concern, and you may not be able to take any painkillers for discomfort, just Tylenol. And I know many people have terrible expereinces with root canal, but I've had two since DS was born and I never thought they were too bad.

I'd call and see what they recommend.
You're probably okay with xrays since you won't be in the 2ww yet - but I'd just want to be sure of it. Also, as PP mentioned, you should really have any dental issues taken care of before becoming pregnant.

ITA with this! I wish I had taken care of a problem earlier. I ended up having to get a tooth pulled but luckily I was able to schedule an appointment before I O'd this month but last month I was freaking out because I had to get an x-ray during the 2ww.
I know it sucks but just get it over with now so you will have peace of mind in the future
