WWYD- Travel with a 3 month old

Almost every year my extended family likes to get together for a big trip somewhere in the Caribbean since my step siblings live all over the country. This year , the trip will be in Aruba and they planned it in December.

Would you go and travel with a 3 to 4 month( depending when he is born) old or would you skip it this year? A part of me really wants to go , but another part of me is scared to travel with such a small infant.

Edited for my terrible math skills, Chat Icon would be at least 3 months

I would...I would also think its easier to travel with an infant than a toddler....baby cannot walk yet so you have control over that...

I want to go to a beach now Chat Icon

I would def...at that age it is much easier. We are taking DS to the Bahamas and he is 2 and I am so nervous-what if he has temper tantrums, gets off his schedule, etc. He's a good toddler but he is a toddler and you don't know what to expectChat Icon

I would definitely go...they only get harder to travel with when they are mobile...you'll need lots of stuff, but it will be worth it!

Absolutley!!!! It's so much easier to fly with an infant than a toddler.

I was in this situation when preggo with my first. I could not imagine what it would be like. We ended up going and it was great. Much easier than traveling with dc now.

Hubby and I are still planning our trip to DW in Feb. Chat Icon will be a little over 3 months old. We made plans with another family to go before I found out I was pregnant. I would definitely go on with your plans...

Re: WWYD- Travel with a 3 month old

I would go. My parents took me on my 1st international trip when I was just shy of 6 months. No problems.

I would just take the necessary precautions regarding the water, etc. . I think a big concern can be babies getting earaches because of the air pressure on the plane so ask the Dr. about this.

Re: WWYD- Travel with a 3 month old

i guess i'm the minority, but i wouldn't have taken DS to aruba at 3 months old. we took him to ocean city, md at 3 months old, but i personally wouldn't take him or #2 out of the country at that age.

have fun!

Totally. We went to Florida with DS at 3 months and on a cruise at 8 months.

You will have to get DC a passport tho.
