Yard Cleanup and Neighbor Issue .. WWYD?

We do not get along with one set of next door neighbors. There is a LONG history but the most recent incident led to a huge fight and verbal blowout between my husband and both the husband and wife over there.

They were doing yard cleanup yesterday with the leaf blower. Our driveway is right on the property line between my home and theirs. This morning Rob noticed some debris (small twigs, leaves, mulch, etc...) that they'd blown off of their property and onto our driveway. I am certain they did not do it on purpose (they seem to be a little afraid of Rob) - but it was a little mess and he was LIVID. He wants to go over there and talk to them - says they do it every time they do clean up. I told him not to (he's likely to get enraged, curse and wind up in trouble because he REALLY dislikes them). I'm going to have to handle it before it escalates.

Sooo.. should I go over there today (I've already cleaned up our driveway) and just say "Hey guys.. please be more careful when you do your cleanup because it isn't right to blow the stuff you don't want off of your lawn and onto mine." OR should I wait until they clean up the next time and address it if I see it happen again.

Honestly.. it only took me 10-15 minutes to clean and I don't really mind if it's gonna keep the peace.. but Rob thinks it's just effed up that they keep blowing this ish onto our property and he will NOT let it stand pat.

I say let it go, epecially if it only took you 10-15 minutes to clean up. If they do it next time, then maybe consider going over there to ask them to be more careful.

since there have been bigger issues and rectifying it only took 15 mins, i would let this one blow over (no pun intended )

Let it go. If my neighbor came over to complain about somehting that was probably not intended I would be mad and think they are nuts.

Thanks everyone. Rob is 100% convinced they did it on purpose. Evidently they do it every time they do cleanup and the fact that the stuff is not just on the driveway by their property, but fully across the entire length of our driveway into our mulch beds makes him say they were aiming the blower right at our yard.

I told him we'll wait until next week and if we get more of a mess for me to clean up, I'll blow it back over and let them know that I'd appreciate if they could please be sure to blow the garbage that they don't want on their property somewhere that isn't my property.

Honestly if you have ever used a leaf blower it's not that easy to be so precise. IMO anyway.

They may see it there but not want to step on your property to clean it up...I would probably let it go although I would be very annoyed as well, esp wondering if they did it to annoy me.

I would let it go too BUT if they do it again, I would try to time the cleanup to when the neighbors are outside

I would be annoyed, but they probably didn't do it on purpose, so I would let it go.

Just blow it back over! And then invest in a very high, solid fence.

next I would be outside of my home when they start the blower up that way they see you in your yard and if you see it happening then say something
