we have one in the master and the spare, im not a big fan of them, and will eventually probally change them sometime down the road

I know that they are not a chic look, but we had one when we lived at my mom's house and we moved here and luckily had one. you sooo much need it in the summer time. it cuts down on cooling costs big time for us!

Yes, and we use it often, esp before AC time comes around. Even then we use it. I say YES.

Yay.....saves $ and i do not like A/C, however, it DID take me forever to find fans i really liked. (tad non traditional)

We don't have them because none of our bedrooms have overhead lighting (just lamps) but I wish I did!

No ceiling fans in our bedrooms, just chandeliers
Defin the minority but did not like the look of them. I grew up with fans but I do not miss it at all.

our house had no lights at all (outside of lamps) i am installing a small fan in our spare bedroom/office because i need the light desperately and figured to see if the fan will work nicely in the summer.
If its real hot *first summer coming up then i will install a fan in our bedroom. My issues with fans is people get big fans for smaller rooms (my parents) and it just takes over the room. I do not think fans should be your main accent.

If you dont have central air I would say definitely get a ceiling fan, helps keep the air criculating. I opted not to do them because we have central air.

I say yes. We had them in our old house but don't in our new house and we miss them. We're going to be putting them in soon.

We have one in our master. I love it. DH says it makes him feel sick.  I wish we had them in all the bedrooms, but there are no ceiling fixtures in there, so I have feeling it would be a pain  to install them.

And I'm in the minority here as well. I don't like the look of it either even though they can be very functional. I also keep in mind of what other disciplines say in regards to different things....so having a fan in your bedroom is bad feng shui unless you have the right fix for it.

We have a ceiling fan and high hats... no problems with both. We rarely use the light on the fan though

We have a fan in all the bedrooms and kitchen. We use them all the time in the Summer, even when the central air is on - it's much more efficient to circulate the air conditioning and it saves on our bills.

So glad we have one in the bedroom. Saves us from using the ac some nights in the summer and if you reverse it you can actually keep the warm air from rising and keep the heat low.
