Yay or Nay Leap Pad 2 or LP Ultra for a 2 year old?
I'm thinking about buying the leap pad for my twins, but I'm not sure if they are still too young for it. My son works my IPad better then me, but I'm not sure about the apps and how easy it is to navigate.
TIA

I don't think they would get much out of it at that age. I don't even think any of the games are geared that young. I think 3 is the earliest and even then, there will be a lot of games that are too hard. I would hold off.

My 2 year old DD loves the iPad and I put a lot of apps on it for her. I just ordered the iGuy case from Amazon to protect it & make it kid friendly. Since she uses the iPad so well, I don't think any of the kid version tablets are necessary. So I'm saving my $$ and sharing my iPad!

My 2 year old twins got Kindle Fires for their birthday as a gift. It is used in one of my twins EI sessions as a motivator.

I would get a full tablet as you will have more options. I brought a re-furb Gaxalxy Tab for DD at age 2 and it is one of my best purchases to date. Keeping busy, education, music is all in one place. At age 4 she has mastered 75% use of it, changing the background, re-arranageing icons.
Currently looking to replace her tab with the Nabi as its the best of both worlds for having a kids mode and full tablet support.

If you kids like your IPad I don't recommend the Leap pad. My DD played with hers for about 5 minutes and then would just ask for my IPad. It's cute and works great she just never touches it.
