My SO has been very supportive and positive. More than I have. Even though IVF is not the conventional way to get pregnant, he will do anything he can to make this dream come true. I know it hurts him to see me in pain emotionally and physically from all this- I do all of the research, dr appts, injections, etc. Although I do make him give his specimen at the office. It's the lea the can do- he does worry about getting there on time! Haha
but honestly he has been my rock through this whole thing. He actuallly has had several friends who went through IVF with their wives. It's more common then we think.

My DH is much more positive than I am and it takes him awhile to give up! I'm more negative (I call it realistic lolol) If we had the $ he would probably want me to do multiple IVF cycles, but we really can only afford 2, so we have one more chance!

My DH is the same way- he's always so optimistic and positive, reassuring me that "this time is going to work". I'm the realist and try not to get my hopes up.

But no matter how many time we go in for the IUI, he just can not get comfortable with having to produce on sight, with nurses walking and talking right past the door Chat Icon

I fought DH every step of the way and it was hell Chat Icon

Moral, religious, financial - you name it, he was against everything but trying on our own. Eventually he warmed up to Clomid and TI. Then IUI's was a HUGE step. While doing the IUIs, I would talk about IVF, make him read up on it... There was a lot of fighting, hurt and anger. Finally, when it came to IVF being our last chance, it took 2 months of talking back and forth and he finally agreed to go for it. I think he was reluctant, but knew if we didn't at least try, I would never forgive him and always wonder what if.

This is almost exactly us! Dh fought me on IF stuff from day one.... And now a year later and a success story (so far) he is ecstatic!!!

This 100%. DH has been so supportive of everything. There was a chance that he was going to have to have surgery for a varicocele (turns out he doesn't have to) but he was willing to go through with the procedure if necessary. He's really been fantastic and tries to come to appointments with me when his work schedule permits it!

Your Husbands

My husband as fought with me since day one and I get so mad because he has a son from a previous relationship when he was young. I get stupid comments but know that we are doing our first iui tomorrow I think he realizes we cant do it the old fashioned way so he better just go in that cup and shut up. :)

DH was on the roller coaster with me. He hated giving me the shots. He hated the disappointment. We are stronger now then we ever were before but it still hurts.
