Zantac vs Axid

DS was on Zantac from early December until last tuesday. Then he was switched to Axid because he was spitting out the Zantac. It tastes horrible. Now a little over a week his reflux has come back full force. He is spitting up a lot, even with the rice in his bottle, he is arching his back while he is eating, etc...Has anyone had problems with Axid? I don't think it works a well as the Zantac did...He was on 1ML of Zantac and he is on the same amount of Axid...

did you try putting the zantac in the bottles?

We had to with my son. There was no way around it. We put it in with 1 ounce of formula so he was guaranteed to finish the whole thing.

I know the prefer you to do it orally, but my sons pediatrician and specialist didn't have a problem with us putting it in his formula.

We tried that too. But he would gag on it until he threw it up...He definitely knows what he doesn't like. Maybe when he starts solids in 2 weeks, I can mix it in something else..
