Flu shot this year

For those who’ve gotten it, did you have a stronger reaction than previous years? Usually my arm is a little sore and swells slightly. Same with my son. This year my arm had a huge bump, big red & bruise area, and it hurt like a b!tch the last two days. It was hard for me to sleep. It’s better now on day 3. Still big red area and less painful.

The day my son got the shot, he told me it was really swollen and I said he was being dramatic. Yea right. His little spaghetti arm looked like Popeye. Huge lump. My cousin said it was very itchy and hurt more this year for her.

I feel like there’s some strong stuff in there. Maybe It’s the chip or Covid strain. I’m seriously kidding, but I can see people believing that.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Flu shot this year

Got it Monday, and it was still THROBBING on Tuesday. It's gotten better everyday since, and I was able to sleep on it last night (hallelujah). I didn't get the red arm or bump, though...

Re: Flu shot this year

My kids got it this weekend. Their arms were sore later that day and the next day, but only 1 really complained about it. He was also the most difficult when they administered the shot. His shoulder was a little red the next morning. It didn’t stop him or his older brother from playing multiple sports all weekend so it couldn’t have bothered them that much.

Flu shot this year

My kids got it yesterday. No more than the usual complaining, shushed with munchkins.
