We can all agree on this one - Bill to award Capitol Police Officer
BREAKING: A bipartisan group of lawmakers have introduced a bill to award Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman the Congressional Gold Medal for his role in protecting lawmakers against the mob of President Trump’s supporters that beached the U.S. Capitol.
Goodman put his life on the line by personally distracting the mob, prompting them to chase him away from a door just in front of the unlocked Senate chamber and preventing the mob from storming it before lawmakers, journalists and staff inside the chamber could lockdown.

Funny as I saw this story this morning on the news and while it is great, they did comment on how come no police officers were awarded for their work with all the riots this summer?

Yes many police officers went above and beyond during the riots over the summer. Many of them go above and beyond daily. There is a HUGE difference in doing a great job at a local riot, and protecting an entire branch of the government. There should be no debate on this from either side. Both republicans and democrats were in danger during the Capitol riot.

Oh ITA, not disagreeing with what he did but it is funny when the democrats were in danger for their own lives, how things change.
