Donated blood again
DS and I donated blood again yesterday. They are in desperate need of blood right now. If you're able to, try and donate. If you aren't able, see if you can get someone to donate.
I'm at the 7 gallon lifetime donation level, and DS just hit the 1 gallon level.

Thanks to everyone who is donating.
Luckily, nobody I know personally has needed a transfusion, but I know there are so many who do. There is currently no substitute for real human blood.

My youngest needed a transfusion at birth. Thank goodness for those that donate

Thank you for doing this.
I donated in high school and got so sick. I really wanted to try again though, so about 13-14 years later I tried again at a drive at work. It took me so long to summon the courage...and they wouldn't let me. My iron was too low or something.
Actually that attempt was 13-14 years ago, so I guess I'm due to gather my courage and see if they will let me this time.

Take an iron pill daily for a week or more before you donate. It should help a lot with your donation capability. I'm right on the edge of having enough iron if I don't take a daily pill. With the supplement, then I'm good.
