Verizon store - buying new phone
Which is better, a Verizon corporate store or a third party Verizon store? I went to buy a new iphone and they said they had to order one at the retail store and no phones were on display. I left and am thinking of going to a store fully owned by Verizon. I put this off for so long due to not wanting to lose certain things off my phone, such as text but have to do it as I desperately need new phone

Verizon store - buying new phone
I like my third party Verizon store - they do work directly with Verizon and they always tell me if it’s a better deal to order online.

Do you have an iPhone? Backup and restore with iCloud and it restores literally everything including all texts. I have texts from 2014 and I’ve changed phones maybe six times since then.

I have an iphone and everything backed up on icloud. Thanks for sharing about texts. I am told they get transferred but still so nervous as some texts and voicemails I just cannot lose. After hearing you went through this six times, it sounds like I will be okay.

We went to our local Verizon store (3rd party) and had a few issues that could not be resolved directly through Verizon bc we went with them and not corporate. The store itself was “oh no, you have to call Verizon directly” and Verizon said we had to deal with them. Leaving some stuff unresolved and now a year + later, I’m still getting billed for stuff we don’t even have!
I would never go local again for this type of service

Thank you. This is what I wanted to know. I got offered a great deal at third party. We have used them before but considering the sensitive nature of me not wanting to lose certain things off okd phone Im wondering if I should go to a corporate location.

I didn’t even back up on iCloud. I backed up on iTunes on my computer, but I didn’t even need to use it. It somehow just transferred everything from one phone to the next (iPhone 6 to iPhone 12).

I'm an avid Samsung fan and I always buy direct through them online. They offer better trade in values, WAY better promotions, you can pay off your phone whenever you want and you're not locked into anything. I haven't bought through Verizon in years, while I love their phone service I detest their phone buying policies.
ETA - Transferring data between phones is so easy, you don't need Verizon for that. My DD switched from an Android to an Apple and making the switch even with that situation was super simple. They've made moving your information from phone to phone so much easier over the years.
