Semen Analysis Question
DH just got his s/a results back from his doctor and although his count, motility, etc. are normal the following are not:
Viscosity-abnormal (should be "normal") Agglutination- 2+ (shouldn't be any) Liquification-incomplete (should be complete) PH 8.3 (should be 7.1-7.8)
Any male factor experts out there to help me?
Thanks

Re: Semen Analysis Question
It looks to me that your DH has an infection...I would go get a blood test to confirm it....simple Antibiotic will do the trick....

That was my first thought too. Probably an infection easily cleared up with some antibiotics. The good count and motility is great!

Re: Semen Analysis Question
Thank you both for your thoughts. We have a follow-up with his doc next week to discuss the results, but I'm wondering what kind of infection he could possibly have. He doesn't have any symptoms and doesn't seem sick. Is there such a thing as an infection he could be "living" with and just go undetected?
