cheesecake and topping question
i want to make a strawberry sauce for my cheesecake. i am wondering if after i cool the cake down and the sauce if i can pour the sauce over it. i don't want the cheesecake to absorb it i just want it more as a "layer". can this be done?

when my mom makes her cheescake, she lets it cool COMPLETLY in the refrigerator before adding any toppings
