Best BBQ ever- Smokin Al's in Bayshore. They are opening another one in Massapequa soon.
Just went there recently. Delicious food, but very small and long waits. Everything was great though, especially the ribs & mac & cheese! Lots of people also like Tenessee Jack's.

you order ribs by the pound- eat out of paper- the whole nine yards
and they have a PB&J cupcake that is to die for

I second smokin' Al's. The pulled pork sandwhich is to DIE for!!!
But yes, the wait is LONG and the place is a bit small but not too cramped considering the size.

Up until two weeks ago my brother was a co-owner of Tennessee Jack's  LOVE IT! Such great, great food. The new owner seems to want to keep everything the same for now.

They haven't kept everything the same. We went last week, and it wasn't as good. They changed the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, and the brisquet (sp) and ribs were undercooked and tough. It was really disappointing.

I agree. Also- the manager/owner is an arse. I went there to apply for a PT job while I was saving for my wedding and he was so nasty to me. I hate to give him business after that- but the food is delish!

I dunno. It's the gray haired guy that's always around. I'm talking about smokin' al's though, not Tennessee Jacks.
