if you were even in a situation....

where you didn't get tenure? who did you put down as references???
i was told last week that i wouldn't be getting tenure- (this is after i've worked in the district for 3 years with no major problems, so i think its more of a budget thing). but the way they worded it when they told me was " we just haven't seen enough improvement from you"
so... when i look for other jobs, who should i put down as references?? i'm worried about putting down the principals of the 2 schools i work in because they might be too honest when other places call and tell them they didn't see enough improvement. BUT, i can't just put down all coworkers, can i??
anybody even been in this situation?? being a SAHW is looking pretty good right about now...

i would talk to them and be honest with them. ask them directly if they can honestly refer you and if so, who will do that. if not, ask them why. i think they know that you will be looking for a job, so they need to help you out a little bit.

also, i think if it were me, i would get the union invovled and/or ask for PROOF how they feel you didn't make enogu improvement. they need to give you specifics.
