proctoring a regents - question.

language regents. one student. (not at a school)
how long can I expect it to take ?

i know they are allocated 3 hours, correct? does it have to be a minimum time, or when she's done, its done.

I believe they have to sit for 2 hours.

Every school I have been at requires a minimum of 2 hours.

State policy - Regents exam they must stay for two hours.

Two hours is the state mandate. Kids are normally done in 1.5 hours or so, depending on the kid. If you are doing it in the house, you may want to ask the district if you can start a little bit later, so that you can leave after 1.5 hours. Go really slow on the listening, pause between each reading and reading the directions.

also, if it's a student with an IEP, they may have extended time.

thanks everyone.

im going to get a practice one to look over to familiarize myself with it.
I was just asked to do this last minute. this isnt a student of mine.

Im hoping someone will get in touch with me to give me any IEP info if there is any.

it's actually at a hospital. I hope it's not an awkward situation. Chat Icon
