what we are doing right now
Cry it out, when you put them to bed they have to learn to get themselves to sleep....
seems to be working for us, the crying is almost nill...

yep..what she said :) and it worked great for us. we did it at about a yr old with DD when she was having sleep issues and now at 2.,5 yrs old - shes an awesome sleeper!

We did it around 6 months and she has been a great sleeper since.
CIO (if you can tough it out..its so difficult) is such a good thing

we did it at 6 months and have to now again at 9 months. I am not sure who the CIO is meant for me or DD. But today is day 4 and the cry is almost gone!
