What credit card do you have?
And how bad is the finance charge? Capital One just hiked up their finance charge and I thinks it's insane to pay it. TIA

I have a the American Express Delta card I think the finance charge is about 10%...I don't keep a balance so I am really not sure. I got it for the miles!

The only credit card we hold a balance on right now is our AMEX but we have 0% for 1 year...We opened it when we went through IVF.

My APRs on high because I didn't have the greatest credit for a while. My favoriate card is my Discover card. I get great CashBack on it and they always make everything so simple.

I have a CitiProfessional. Right now the APR is 0% for 12 months but will increase to a fixed 9.99% in July.

Bank of America 0% APR for 1 year. Almost paid off...YEY!
& Amex. but we don't carry a balance on that so I'm not sure of the APR.
downside to the BofA one--no perks, no points or anything but the 0% was worth it.

Amex Blue- I think its at 9.99% but I dont carry a balance- we also have a Carnival Rewards card through Barclays bank and that has an APR of 27%- we dont use that one at all anymore- these companies are nuts with their apr- dh and I have high credit scores

I have a BOA card and DH has an AmEx - both with a zero balance. 
Before they were both paid off, though, my BOA card was at a 14.99% interest - I'm not entirely sure what the AmEx was at...

I don't have any credit cards actually!  I've been trying to get one so that I can start building my own credit but nobody will accept me...not even my bank.

that happened to my sister- I put her on my card as an authorized user and then after a month she was able to get her own- i didnt give her the card, just added her and I dont know why this happens, but once the card was added to her report, the entire credit history from the card was there, for like the 10 years I had the card- you might want to try something similar

i have a citibank mastercard..i got a 0% balance transfer for 1 year and i think a promo purchase rate of 3.99% for a year as well. i forget what it goes up to after that, maybe 9% ..i have to check now..LOL

They sent me a notice that it was going to increase but that I could opt. out and close my card so that is what I did.

I got the same notice. 
I am keeping mine b/c they still have the best rates for oversees banking transactions, but I am NEVER going to carry a balance again on that bad boy.

My new favorite card is a Charles Schwab Visa. 2% cash back on everything.
I absolutely love this card. The cashback is fantastic. But my favorite feature of this card is the ability to see all my pending transactions. If somebody authorizes my card, I can see the authorization online and even see who authorized it. The authorizations show up almost instantly online.
It's underwritten by Bank Of America, so I am going to have to try to be nice to them. 
ETA: I have no clue what the interest rate is. Probably something real high, but I never carry CC balances that aren't 0%.

When I met DH he never had a CC...so he couldn't get one that wasn't secured. He applied to AMEX and told him to send in $300. He never did and they sent him the CC anyway with a $300 limit. It's the Delta card (Delta is one of few airlines that go directly to his mom's) and now has $30K+ limit.
