Pulled Mussel

I think I pulled my mussel on my left shoulder/back. I went to get bags out of my car and I must have pulled something. It hurts so much. I asked my husband to look at my shoulders and he did say my left one is swollen
What should I take/do? I was thinking about a hot bath or heating pad .
