Lovenox Question
Hi ladies,
I am a semi lurker/semi past poster.
I had lost my daughter at full term last April and am now 22 pregnant with my second daughter. So praying and hopeful that we will have a positive outcome. And knowing my sweet angel is looking after her little sister.
I have recently found some answers regarding my loss that I am finally feeling some reassurance over and the specialist who I have seen has recommended Lovenox, 40 mg. 2x a day.
I'm finding myself a little nervous as the dosage seems high to me. I only know one other person on Lovenox and she's only on it once a day.
I do trust this doctor, but wanted to know if anyone else is on this dose.
Thank you for your help girls,
Christine

Re: Lovenox Question
I am only on it once a day- but there are many doses depending upon needs.. I go to the perinatal doc every 2 weeks- so who knows, the dosage could change based on need.
sorry for your loss.

Re: Lovenox Question
i am so sorry for ur loss.
Like pp said ur dosage is for what u need. Im on it 1x a day and im on 40mg. My hematologist said im on that dosage bc my mcs were early on and i dont have a history of blood clots in legs etc. If u have a history of blood clots in other areas of ur body and have had a late term loss then u are on a higher dosage. HTH
Good luck!

Re: Lovenox Question
I am on 40mg once a day because I don't have any clots. I am on it to prevent clots. If I had a history of clotting or had a currant clot then they would discus upping my dose to 60mg once a day or 40mg twice a day. It would depend on the circumstances. I would trust your doctor. If they believe your dd was lost due to a clot they will want you on a higher dose so you new lo will be safe
