Re: Charlie Horses
I feel your pain! I had a really bad one last week when I was 33wk in my left thigh and I have not felt the same since. Stretching and walking definitely helps....but not totally for me. And icing/heating pad..and before going to bed, taking a bath has helped too.

Re: Charlie Horses
I got them really bad with my first 2 pregnancies.
You have to eat a banana EVERY DAY. It took a few weeks of doing that for them to finally stop.

Re: Charlie Horses
I started taking a calcium/magnesium supplement and its really helped! Haven't had one since I started taking it - and I used to get them a lot in the middle of the night.

I had them really bad the first trimester. I was told to drink LOTS of water and take a B6 vitamin.

Re: Charlie Horses
I get them in my legs and someone told me to curl my toes up when it happens and it works. They go away instantly!

Re: Charlie Horses
cut off your legs??
i dont know b/c i used to get them here and there before pregnancy due to my back issues. Now its all the time!
last week it was EVERY NITE, numerous times a nite from my calves through my toes. i slept maybe all of 3-4 hrs a nite. I use a contour pillow for between my knees and even got a long body pillow. nothing helps.
maybe a potassium supplement might help.
