False Positive
I took a HPT on Sunday July 5th and it was positive (but very faint). I took another on Monday July 6th and it was negative.
Is a false positive possible?

False negatives are more common, but a false positive is possible.
Try a digital test? Then maybe call your doctor as well.

I'm not going through any fertility treatments yet.
I tested the first time in the AM and the second time after 6hrs in the evening.

same thing happened to me...i haven't gone to the doctor about it but I had gotten AF about a week after that.  i hope your negative was the wrong result

The first pregnancy test I took was negative, I took it in the evening after dinner.
Then, a friend told me that I should take it first thing in the morning instead. So I took it the next morning and it was positive, but very faint. Took a digital the next day, still positive.
And now I have an adorable DS! Good luck
