Re: if you had an epidural...

I ended up at my gp about 7 weeks pp with back pain... he determined that they nicked my spine when they put it in... the only treatment (besides drugs which i am nursing) is time...

Re: if you had an epidural...

Maybe a little sore around the injection site, but nothing significant. And not for a long time either-- maybe a couple of days.

Re: if you had an epidural...

uh.....DS is almost 3 months and I'm still sore! I told my dr. that I was still sore and that it originates at the exact spot where the epi. was- their response was that I was lifting too much.

Re: if you had an epidural...

Sorry to say 2+ years later I'm STILL having issues.

Chat Icon

If I had to do it all again I wouldn't have it.

But I'm certainly not a normal case.

Re: if you had an epidural...

with DD I had really bad back pain for 2 weeks before I went to see the doctor (my internist, not OB). It turns out I hurt my back during pushing since I couldn't feel much. I had a swollen spine and was given an anti inflammatory and felt better a few days later. I think it was called Naprosen (sp?)

with DS, my 2nd DC, I had no pain afterwards

Yes and after 2 epidurals for both kids I can tell if it's going to rain or if the weather is bad by a dull ache where it was....

Re: if you had an epidural...

not at all- and I have Scoliosis rods along my spine that made it hard for him to get it in the right spot

Re: if you had an epidural...

No pain, but some discomfort that lasted several months after. I only felt it if I was sitting for a while unsupported.

Nope...I had no pain at all. But I've heard that some people have some soreness after. Talk to your dr about it.
