Re: Switching RE- need recs
I go to Stonybrook office and I am having seconds thoughts myself. I don't like that they don't give you privacy. When I am in the office consulting with a doctor why do you leave the door open for everyone to hear my business and what we are talking about. I know we are all here for the same reason in one way or another but please respect my privacy. I dont really like the staff or the doctors but we will see where it goes. I had a meeting with one of the doctors and he was busy trying to get pens ordered while he was consulting with me, barely looked me in my eyes. Another meeting with another doctor he was busy answering the phone to talk to his wife about getting tickets. Another meeting with another doctor and she was more concerned about a phone call that was on hold for her. WTH. Well I have to see if I am going to move on and to where.

Re: Switching RE- need recs
another LI IVF success story! one cycle might not be enough to know for sure, but if your gut tells you something isn't right, then listen. a second opinion is always a good thing!

I don't know what doctor you see. I've never gone to see a dr there and had them not close the door. The dr I see is very professional and is always focused on me when I am in the room. They office is just unorganized, and they don't explain anything to the patients. I cannot stand the staff. I feel that for the money they bring in they could hire some pleasant staff.

Re: Switching RE- need recs
I go to ECF and I see Dr. Zapantis. Dr. Z is really great. He never rushes you. You get all of your questions answered. He is great at responding to e-mails (soooooo convenient). He has a great beside manner. They also assign a nurse to you. She has been great. I honestly have to say the office on a whole has been great. We will be going through our IVF cycle at the end of the month.

Re: Switching RE- need recs
I got the packet over the weekend and was reading through.
At this point i'm soooo glad i made this decision. Some of the things it says, i was like WOW, the other doctor didn't do that!

Yes the privacy issue was a problem for me. It doesn't happen often though. I have my good days and bad days with them. But definitely thinking of moving on.
