WWYD? Thanksgiving related

I'll be in my 36th week this week and am supposed to go to Jersey for Thanksgiving. I know it's a bit neurotic -- but anyone else worried about sitting in Thanksgiving traffic when you are this far along?

Re: WWYD? Thanksgiving related

I would only be worried if I had to pee really badly! Otherwise, go and enjoy yourself!

I agree... go! We traveled back and forth from Jersey to LI right up until the weekend before I had DD.

Honestly the traffic is going to stink. Just try to leave really early/really late. I know it is annoying to do that, but it is better to stay at someones house longer, then to just sit in traffic. Make sure you are well hydrated before & after the trip, and stop to pee if your in the car for more than 2 hours. Good luck. No traffic vibes.

I was supposed to go to VA for the week. My doctor gave me the okay to travel by train as long as I got up and walked around every hour (I'll be 34 weeks). Then last week I started having preterm labor and now I'm on bed rest Chat Icon. I will not be going anywhere this year, I can't even hit the Black Friday sales Chat Icon

Re: WWYD? Thanksgiving related

I'll be 33 wks and we decided to have the IL's come here instead of going out there. It has taken us 3 hrs each way on holidays and, honestly, even though I know I can do it (and did with my first pregnancy) it's not fun - i have to stop at least once to pee - your legs hurt and you feel uncomfortable - not to mention i don't want to spend 6 hrs of my day in the car with my toddler!
