Convertable Crib
are they worth it? This is our first child and when we have another one I guess we willl have to buy a new crib...or it would it be better to buy a regular crib to use for each child and just buy a larger bed?

Re: Convertable Crib
I think this depends on a few things. Do you plan on staying in your current home for many years? Do you have enough room in your baby's room to convert the crib into a full size bed? Will the 2nd baby share the same room with baby #1 or will he/she have his or her own room? Etc.
We are in a coop right now and plan on staying here for another year or two. I was NOT looking for a convertible crib because I don't think we'll be able to use a full size bed in baby's future room if we stay in the city (2nd bedrooms can be very small) and we hope to have 2 children so it's likely that they'll be sharing a room - I assume child #1 will have to use a twin bed in that case if there's a crib in the room too.
However, the crib we liked, got a good deal on, and ordered IS a convertible crib. I do like that it becomes a toddler bed so that's a plus, so we probably won't use the full bed option. But I didn't go out seeking a convertible crib because of our situation.

Re: Convertable Crib
I got a convertable crib for my first DD because I loved the furniture we picked out and she has enough space in her room for a full sized bed.
For this baby we will be getting a regular crib because the room isnt big enough for a full sized bed.

Re: Convertable Crib
I agree. I like the idea but cant fit a full size bed in DS room. We got the bonavita peyton crib that converts to a day bed but not a full size bed.
