H1N1 shot questions...UPDATE
I am seriosuly thinking of getting this shot, I work for a dr- ( Podiatrist) and am around people a lot, and have small nieces and nephews I am around a lot. The straw that broke the camels back was 1. A few weeks ago a pt came in sick as a dog, b/c" it was only for her feet"- and said it was just a "cold" ,well 1 week later I was sick as a dog and think I had a light version of the flu- I had the regular flu shot a few months ago- I was achy, slight temp, sore throat, stuffy nose , headache. Aside form being so angry someone would risk getting others sick I was thankful I had the reg. flu shot. This lady looked sick more then a cold... 2. A patient came in yesterday and I asked him to sign a form and he sneezed all over the chart and the pen. I was like !!! I think I washed my hands in alcohol. LOL I am not that bad of a germ a phob, but wash my hands , if I sneeze it is in a tissue or away from others into my arm, etc. So my question is- if you took the shot did you have any weird side effects? How long does the shot last- is it a flu season or lifetime? Thanks in advance for answering. I think I am going to get it this afternoon- but patiently awaiting everyones responses. No one on here has ever steered me wrong.
UPDATE- I got the H1N1 shot this afternoon. I took 2 advil before hand, anticipating the sore arm. It was fast and easy. They told me to wait around 15 minutes to make sure I was ok. I was- I did some shopping and picked up Valentines day cards in the meantime. I am relieved I got it. DH is going tonight to get it, he is an elementary school teacher. My arm is a little sore and I am a liitle fatiqued, I had this w/ the regular flu shot. A good excuse to take a nap!I am glad I took it, if anyone is in doubt in getting it, it is worth it considering I rather get the shot then get the swine flu. JMO.

Re: H1N1 shot questions...
My DH and I both got ours at CVS, no side effects, not even a sore arm.
My 3 yr old DS got the mist, which is actually a weakened live virus so a little more likely to cause side effects... not a single problem.

Re: H1N1 shot questions...
My 12 mth old DD got this. Had no reactions at all. But it was the shot, not the live intranasal one. My friends children, 3 of them, got the intranasal and had no reactions at all.
My DH and my FIL got the swine flu shot, no reactions at all.
