kinda gross - hemmoroid question 7 months PP
During my pregnancy I developed a pretty bad hemmoroid. Its just one, relatively large, external hemmoroid. Its not painful or itchy, its just there ALL the time. 7 months PP its still there! I never had the doctor take a look at it. After DS was born they basically told me to use a hemmoroid cream like Preparation H, which did nothing.
Is there any way to get it to go away without having surgery? How do you know you need surgery to have it removed?

make sure your not straining while going to the bathroom. Use preparation h or witch hazel or the hemroid pads. usually they remove them when they bleed alot or are causing alot of pain.

You will have to wait until after the birth to remove them.
If it does not bother you, you are OK. It's most likely not thrombosed (trust me you would know if it was!  )

It was around this time that mine was the worst! It has since gotten better (dd is almost 2 1/2) but it does flair up if I strain

Sorry... read too fast!
Go see a colon/rectal surgeon. They can put a band around it. It takes a few weeks and "comes off".
