I've tried it so many times and nothing.......I've also tried olive oil and a fine comb and it does take most of it out but then it comes back again. I guess I'll try T-gel now

It just takes time. We did baby oil and olive oil but then he looked like a greaser. It'll be a memory soon don't worry!

Re: Cradle Cap GO AWAY!!!!!
My son had it so bad that it ended up creating havic all over his entire body. It was so upsetting. We went to a pediatric derm. and he suggested two things...mineral oil and believe it or not, Listerine. We used the mineral oil and it worked wonders. I never tried the Listerine but if anyone ever has, let me know how it worked! Good luck!

Re: Cradle Cap GO AWAY!!!!!
DS is 2 years old and UGH, I wish it would go away forever too!
After reading posts on here, I recently tried head and shoulders. It has helped so much!!! We used it pretty regularly at first (for weeks) and now I switch back and forth between head and shoulders and his old johnson's shampoo.
Definitely try Head and Shoulders... but if it doesn't work the first time, keep using it.

Gentle Naturals
We've been using this for about 3-4 months. It goes away for a few days at a time but it keeps coming back.

Re: Cradle Cap GO AWAY!!!!!
DS still has it at 11 months...ped just told us to use Selsun Blue. He said its stronger than H&S. Just be careful not to get it in their eyes...I do it w/ my mom or DH.

Re: Cradle Cap GO AWAY!!!!!
Rylan had HORRIBLE cradle cap for the first year...after that it slowly started going away. I tried oil...Nutrogena Tgel and sraping it during washings with a comb. I'm sure it wasn't the right thing to do but the only thing that somewhat helped way literally peeling it off. I have pointy tweezers that I used. Unfortunately Xavier has it too and it's so much better already.

same here! try mineral oil on the scalp, it works better than baby oil. It's found in the laxative aisle at the pharmacy.

I used baby oil and that seemed to work.
I also used Mustela for cradle cap. It's very gentle.

Re: Cradle Cap GO AWAY!!!!!
I laid him on his changing table and literally combed every spec out. Of course I had to vacuum after. But I did it, and it never came back. I always made sure to comb after every bath instead of brush. Not sure if it was just luck but it worked.

Re: Cradle Cap GO AWAY!!!!!
I bought every product (Mustela, gentle naturals, baby oil, t-sal, krs) on the market...nothing helped...went to the dermatologist and indeed it was dermatitis. A mild cortisone ointment followed by mineral oil / vaseline finally made it go away.
