Working in the City?
Im beginning to think it would be worth it for me to work in the city (salary wise) however I'm concerned about what time I would get home every night (I live in Bethpage).
For those that work FT in the city and live in the bethpage area approx what time do you get home?

Re: Working in the City?
i THINK it's about a 40 minute commute (penn to bethpage, not including subway time). i don't live in bethpage, but would pass it on my way home when i commuted.

Re: Working in the City?
you should look at the subway schedule and parking situation. I live near that area and if i catch an express its about 50 min or so. FM me if you want more specifics.

Re: Working in the City?
I live in Bethpage and commute every day.
I get in at 8 and home between 7:30-8:00 everyday.
I take a 7:01 in and usually a 6:21 or 6:53 home.
My total commute door to door is about 2.5 hrs a day with subway. I work in midtown.
I make a ton more money working in the city and couldn't survive working in LI.

Re: Working in the City?
DH works in the city and we are in Farmingdale. He takes a train at 630ish am and then subway downtown and coming home he either takes a 520ish train and gets in at 615ish or he takes the 621 and get in a 710. So Bethpage would just be one stop earlier.
the train is about 45 mins so it would really depend on where in the city the job was.
