Solids questions....

Hey mammas, my son Eli is almost 7 months old and has been eating solids for just over a month... He's had yams, carrots, squash, apple and pears... I have been making everything myself & he is enjoying himself more and more... Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone has given their child blueberries? I read that they are loaded w/antioxidants & are great for babies, but I h/n checked with our dr. yet... any feedback?
Thank you!

Re: Solids questions....

Hi Mor!!!!
I have given Kenny blueberries! Visit wholesomebabyfood.com for lots of great info on how to prepare them and what goes great with them!

ETA:
Kenny has also had avocado, zucchini, squash, peaches, prunes, plums, apricots, pastina, green beans, peas, carrots, & corn in addition to the foods you mentioned. All organic and homemade....

Re: Solids questions....

My ped. said to wait until a year to start berries, but I did try berries earlier. Chat Icon

Re: Solids questions....

DD has had blueberries - I usually combine them with peaches or apples bc I think they're too potent on their own. She loves them :)

Re: Solids questions....

DS is almost 7 months and his ped ok'd all stage 2 baby foods. I tried bananas with mixed berries (blueberries and black berries) and he adored it! No reaction either. I think it should be ok, but if you want to be sure, check with your ped.

Re: Solids questions....

We have done blueberries and raspberries. I am waiting to introduce strawberries since they are more allergenic.

Re: Solids questions....

I introduced blueberries somewhere between 8 and 10 months. I waited to introduce all other berries until 12 months.
