Ugh why does she do this -- MIL rant...
I don't really know where to put this so I'm just putting it here because my kids are older.
I can't take the third party talk from my MIL.
"You should tell mommy if you're hungry to give you an early dinner."
"You should tell mommy that if you're tired then maybe you need to go to bed earlier."
I told her DS's Nintendo DS broke. She looks at him and says "you should tell mommy that this is a good opportunity for you and your brother's to learn how to share -- they should share theirs with you."
Meanwhile, I'm standing right next to my kids when she says stuff like this. I tempted to tell my son next time "tell Grandma to mind her own business." Aaaarrrggghhh!!!!

That would drive me crazy.
You should tell Grandma to stop being so passive aggresssive & have a direct conversation.
BTW, I would totally say that.
