Difference between a Rocker/Glider??

DH and I have been looking at furniture for a nursery.

Can anyone give me feedback on the difference between a:

Rocker/Glider:


and a

Glider:


What are the advantages/disadvantages of each of them?

it's all personal, but for me, I didn't like the more "couchey" type gliders because they were difficult for me to get up and out of when I was holding DS and trying not to wake him up. I wanted to get up in one fluid movement and I couldn't. I tried them all out, all different kinds, in stores and at friends houses and a rocker was better for me. I still use it every night with DS and he's 19 months.
