Stopping Progesterone ? for those that took it...
I am supposed to stop the progesterone Tuesday, week 10. I am totally freaking out about this. Just curious, for those that took it, when did you stop and were you neurotic about it?
I have a sono tomorrow so I'll ask the RE just to make sure this is still the plan...I know it is a good thing, but so scary too!

Yup, I also stopped taking it at week 10- I was a little nervous about it but trusted my RE's recommendation.

I was freaked out too, when i had to stop taking it. But everything was fine. At this point your body is making more than enough progesterone. You and the baby will be great.
I was told to stop around 12 weeks, but I continued without the Dr knowing until 14wks. Well when my dr found out, they yelled at me. And said too much of something is not always a good thing. So def do listen to what your Dr's recommends.
I understand though being so nervous, I was freakend out too. But here I am 35 weeks and everything continued to be great after I stopped the progesterone.

I stopped @ 10 weeks. They actually had me start weaning myself around 8 weeks. I dropped down to once a day, then every other, then I was done @ 10. I was nervous b/c my levels were low. I don't think they ever got above 14 and for the most part was around 9-10. I'm 19 weeks tomorrow!

I stopped at 10 weeks cold turkey I was a nervous wreck but Dr. B told me that at that point the progesterone suppositories are basically "spit in the wind" at that time because the placenta is doing all the work

I stopped at 10 weeks as well. I was definitely nervous about it but I know my doc wouldn't have me stop if it wasn't safe.

I think I was supposed to stop at 10 weeks and kept doing the PIO until 12 weeks. I was just too nervous.

I was on Crinone 1x/day. The RE's office said to take it through week 12. My regular OB said to stop at week 11. I split the difference and stopped at 11w 4d. 10 days later I still am having the side effects (icky discharge)
