Another (wisdom) teeth question...
how long did you wait between being told they needed to come out and actually having them out?
also - anyone do all 4 at once?
and finally - how bad (or relatively easy?) was the recovery?

Re: Another (wisdom) teeth question...
Hmm, I waited about 7/8 years!
I was a teenager when I was told they needed to come out but was too scared to do it and my mom didn't make me! (because I was such a baby about it and it also wasn't an emergency)
I got 3 out at once (two were impacted)The recovery wasn't TOO bad. I was fine after two weeks.
ETA: by the time I actually DID have them out, I had an infection. That's why I ultimately decided to do it. I was getting married 5 months later and didn't want to risk having an issues around my wedding or honeymoon.

Re: Another (wisdom) teeth question...
I waited about a month...I was in such pain I had to do it right away.
I had one taken out one time. Then the last 3 taken out another time. I would reccomend just doing them all at once and getting it over with.

Re: Another (wisdom) teeth question...
i had all 4 of mine taken out at once. i was under anesthesia for it so i don't remember a thing. the recovery was pretty bad for me but that's because i had a dry socket (i think that's what it's called) and my cheeks puffed up like crazy. i seriously looked like i gained about 100 pounds overnight! if i remember correctly i was put on antibiotic and the swelling went down pretty fast. i think mine was an extreme case and it was my own fault b/c i didn't completely follow doctor's orders when i got home. i too recommend getting them out all at once so you just get it over with

Re: Another (wisdom) teeth question...
I was an adult when i had mine out. I had the uppers taken out first & then about 2 years ago had the bottom taken out. Both times it was horrible & I was in a lot of pain & I had dry sockets with the 2 bottom ones. I hate hate the dentist. Both times I waited until they where bothering me. I was knocked out both times. I don't want to make you anxious about getting them out but several people told me it wouldn't be bad but for me it was horrible.

Re: Another (wisdom) teeth question...
I had all 4 out at once when I was 20. Mine were all impacted. I found out I needed them out in November and had them removed over my Christmas break.
In all honesty, the experience was not bad for me. I may have been lucky but the worst was having the chipmonk cheeks.
