**JANUARY MOMMIES** Roll call & check-in!
**OUR MONTH IS HERE!!**
As we're approaching our month, I thought it might be nice to get a list together so we can keep track of how everyone is doing and when the babies get here!

I am currently fingertip dilated and contracting mildly (even though I do NOT feel anything except an occassional tightening).
BTW, I don't have a text buddy for when I go into labor. Does anybody wanna be each other's buddy?

Oh no! Well don't worry hon!!! I've read so many stories where people are dilated for weeks and weeks at a time and someone who isn't dilated at all can go like THAT! I hope that is your case!

I am DONE! Not ready lol but DONE!
I feel like I'm out of room in my tummy for DS to get any bigger. DS loves to jam his coolie in my ribs! Ouch! I dont know if I'm dialated b/c my midwives dont do internals until 40 weeks.
I'm getting BH... and also I'm starting to get some back pain thats also almost feels like the pain when I have AF.....not cramps but it hurts.
I'm SO tired and bloated. I want my body back!
I'm starting to get really nervous about delivery. I think I'm really going to miss feeling my little guy in my tummy though
I cant wait to see him and kiss his hands(I hope he has my Grandfather's hands ) and kiss his little face!

Hi ladies! I was a Dec Mommy-to-be, but unless this baby kicks into high-gear, like now, it looks like I'll be joining your club! So much for that tax write-off for 2010

Just took a reeeeeeeeeeeeally long walk around the neighborhood with DH (ok, it was about 30 minutes, but it felt like an eternity!!!!)!
It's 60 degrees out today and so many people in our neighborhood were waving and smiling at us it was really funny. 
I'm super duper crampy now and had some contractions while I was walking but alas... that's about it.
It was worth a shot!

I am so with all you girls!!! I am done! I loved being pregnant but I cant even bend over now without this baby stabbing me with a butt or foot, lol. I want to put my own socks and shoes on again and of course meet my beautiful baby most of all!! Good luck to all of you!! I cant believe we will all be mommies sooo soon!!!

I'm sooooooooooo done!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was 1 cm dilated on Wednesday....can't wait til my next appt on Thursday to check on the progress. I return to commuting into the city on Tuesday so I reallyyy  that I have the baby Monday night/Tuesday early morning!

I am cranky too. I want this to be over. My DD is 5 1/2 and currently home on winter break with me. She needs to go back to school, so I can rest. I cannot be the non-stop entertainment anymore!
I am fully effaced, 0 station, and 1 cm dilated...going back on Tuesday for another visit to the doctor. I think the baby is not comingb/c she knows we don't have a name for her yet...
Hang in there, ladies

I am feeling really good..... today...lol!!
I have had a cold the last week and that has been awful!!! And I found out last night that i have feet that are jabbing me in my ribs, so bad that i am getting excruatiing back pain and I am in tears.
I have also begun to swell. The past 2 weeks or so. Lastr night at my ob, I had hbp. So I have to go back monday and I might be put on bedrest.
But i am not too concerned, I am at the end!!!
Its all good!!! the baby is doing great and loves it when daddy makes fart noises on my belly!!!
That's all that matters!!!

feelin ok..but I am sooo congested and cannot sleep, but I guess I am getting practice:)
I had a really easy pregnancy so I am thankful..
I am ready to see what the little girl that has been kicking my *** nonstop looks like!!!

I have had such a pleasant pregnancy up until I hit the 36 week mark.
its hit or miss. 1 day I am fine and the next day I am tired and all I want to do it lay down.
my 37 week appt was on Thursday and Dr. said I am 2 cm dilated and 75% effaced. so its a start she said.
This past week I have had swollen feet, legs and ankles...Yes Cankles. Its not fun. So I don't like to stay on my feet alot because it gets worse.
Yes bending is a problem. Its hard for me to do my daily chores in the house. I had to buy new pair of snow boots and shoes because of my swelling feet. Its so hard to tie shoes and even put on socks...
I am ready and just looking for signs to when I will actually have this lil girl
I still have 2 weeks 5 days until my due date. It can't some soon enough.
Hope you girls are feeling better than I am. Get some rest, keep hydrated and continue to eat well these last couple of weeks.

Roxanne, I know exactly what you mean about 1 day being fine and the next feeling awful. Sometimes from hour to hour!
I somehow managed to shave my legs in the shower today.
That, for some reason, seems to assure to me that now my baby will NOT come early... you know, since I'm "ready" lol. My countdown says 5 days. We'll see how the appointment goes Monday.
Oh!!! So apparently, the first babies born in NC last night were a pair of twins... one at 11:58 pm and the other at 12:02 am! Could you imagine!!! Twins born in separate years!!!! So cool! Glad our little girl wasn't competing with that for attention. It's also DH's birthday today, so our baby is just waiting for it to be her own day!

slowing down alot very tired by 8 want to go to bed. starting to feel a little nasous after I eat maybe because thjere is not so much room in there amymore... but overall feeling pretty good just so so ready to meet y little !!

Hi,
I know I don't post too often, but wanted to update!
I actually had my baby girl! She was born on Dec. 27th. I had absolutely no signs of impending labor and was feeling better than I had most of the pregnancy. My water broke at 7:15am on the 27th and she was born that night at 9:57pm.
We came home on Wednesday and are settling in quite nicely.
I am definitely proof that it can happen at anytime despite any progress or lack of progress!!

I'm not on your list but I'm scheduled for Jan 19th.
I'm so over being pregnant at this point. It's been an uneventful pregnancy thank god, but just being pg and chasing after a toddler is so much more difficult than I ever expected. I'm all belly which is great but it's so enormous that I can barely get around in stores without knocking into something or someone. My DS thinks my belly is hysterical, he points at it and laughs   but I'm kinda ready for him to stop climbing on top of it. Hoping these next 17 days go quickly!!

I put you on! Are you scheduled for a C or is that your EDD? If it's the former, it must be so amazing to know exactly when your child will be here! Every hour that goes by, DH and I are like... "when will she come?"
That's really really funny he keeps climbing on top of his little sibling. He's gotta stop doing that when he/she comes!!! lol
Hope you feel better!!! It's so soon!!!

Yeah, none here either. Although I have a "new pain" now -- it's this crazy pelvic pain that wraps around my pelvis exactly where the bones meet. It's on both the right and left sides and I have NO CLUE what it is!
I can also feel the baby a LOT this morning which is very unusual. She has been extremely quiet lately.
I go back to the doctor tomorrow afternoon for my 39/40 week appointment.
DH and I talked to a lot of people and we have decided we are not going to go with an induction unless there is a medical reason for it or the baby is in some sort of distress (or fluids are low, etc). I have a friend from HS who is a midwife I emailed with a bit and she says that even the least complicated inductions can put a lot of stress on the baby (not to mention the mommy) which is another reason the failure rate is so high. My OB would have to do a good deal to convince me otherwise at this point.
BTW, DH is convinced the baby is coming on 1/11/11 now... I'm not sure why. He says either 1/10 or 1/11. I think he just likes binary #s.
