No update on me. Ive tried alot of the old wives tales......sex, eating spicy food(had indian the other night and last night I had hot wings that were called mount st. helens that made my nose run and my eyes tear ) drinking pineapple juice, bouncing on a yoga ball, walking........NOTHING is working!!!!!
Have you tried acupressure points? I believe there is one by your ankle that will trigger labor.
There are videos on youtube that will show you how. 
No but i was thinking of going for a pedicure and having them rub my feet!
DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No update on this Dec-turned-Jan-mommy either  , other than my struggle about the induction which I posted earlier. 41 weeks today! I just finished vacuuming and dusting. I've been trying to keep moving, hopefully stirring something up. Otherwise, I'll be heading over to the hospital tomorrow night.
ETA: Gail, I went for a pedi Monday. Definitely ask her to pay more attention to your ankles. I hear that's the spot. I felt like my nail tech had a soft touch. I really wanted her to dig in.

Ladiessss I have an update!!!!! I had my baby on 1/3/11. It was the most amazing experience and I still cannot believe this beautiful baby boy came out of me!!! We named him Evangelos Nikolaos after both DH and my father and the middle name is my DH's name. We are very excited. I cannot wait to write my birth story and post pics after my hospital stay. Good luck to the rest of the January ladies....it is so worth the wait!!!!

Congrats on the baby!
And, an update on me -- technically I'm due 1-26-10, but I am probaby being induced around Jan 18-20th because of the umbilical cord varix they saw at my growth sono. It's like a varicose vein on the cord and there is a risk of a clot,which would affect blood flow to the baby. I'm being monitored with weekly sonograms and stress tests, but the doc said I shouldn't worry.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Seems like some of the other babies are just so comfy in the bellies in the cold!!!!

Anyone else have a baby recently? How is everyone doing?
I just had my 38 week appt. Nothing new. still 2 cm dilated and 75% effaced. Dr. said she things she will definitely be seeing me next week....I hate the whole waiting game.
How is everyone feeling?

I had my baby this morning at 12:49 am! 
One day early. 
She's beautiful and perfect. I labored a total of only 6 hrs, the last 3 at the hospital including about 1.5 hrs pushing. Went completely meds free.
I'll post more once we're home. Since she was technically born on Thursday, we're here until Saturday.
Good luck to the rest of the January mommies!!!

Still here..I have a Dr Appt 10am tomorrow to monitor baby & check on progress.
If  doesn't make an appearance by Monday they are going to break my water.
Dr is confident my body would take over without the need for pitocin. I hope so too.

Labor was induced and the whole process only took 6 hours from the time I got the medicine to induce labor. I ended up only pushing for 10 minutes! I got really lucky with an easy labor.

I am still waiting. My due date was yesterday. Just waiting for her to let me know when she is ready at this point.

I'm scheduled for next Friday, Jan. 28th.
Not sure if I'm going to make it. I've thown my back out and am in so much pain!!!! Can't even move! Dr. put me on vicoden, which only made me feel hung over yesterday. I will not be taking that again!
I'm trying to eat spicy food and smoke this kid out!

Oops! I never updated my status on this thread. I had my beautiful baby girl, who we named Leah Christine, on 1/11/11 at 5:11pm. She weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 20 inches long.
Congrats to all the January moms that had their babies!!!
