DH works on weekends, so no, I never get to sleep in.

On his days off he stays home with DS and I don't have to do any of the morning routine for DS so I get a little break, but I'm still up early anyway because I go to work those days.

If I REALLY need it, of course he will let me sleep in. But usually our deal is once DS wakes up (around 6:30ish) one of us gets him and changes him, and the other gets the bottle ready and makes the coffee.

On weekends we alternate but I tend to have a hard time going back to sleep once I wake so if I am up I let him sleep.

Yep, every weekend he gets up with DD. If he goes out the night before I'll let him sleep in, but I get up early the rest of the week so he's good about doing it on weekends.

No but thats because his days off are on Wed. and Thurs, so I have to get up for work anyway. And he works 4-12 on the weekends, so I let him sleep in

He sleeps late on Saturday, and I do on Sunday. It's a great system

DH always says he will get up but I'm always up way before him. He told me on my bday really wanted me just to sleep in and I tried but I just sat staring at the ceiling, until I couldn't take it anymore and got up, something is wrong with me.

My DH and I are both off on weekends so we each get up early one day on the weekend while the other person sleeps in for a bit. Fair and square

Yes, DH is only off 1 day a week and he let's me sleep in until 11ish. He takes DD out of the house since they both get up around the same time, he looks forward to his alone time with DD and I love that I get to sleep late

Once in over two years. Lol. Truth be told, even if he were to get up, I would probably be up 5 min later. I can't sleep when I hear them playing and laughing because I want to join them. And I can't sleep when I hear them crying because I want to go help them. So, if they are up, I am up.

It's 50 50. I don't ask, I just tell him I need more rest. He does the same. If we both need it, then one of us sleeps in and the other takes a nap at some point

DH sleeps late Sat mornings and I sleep late Sunday mornings.

We have a great system.

I sleep in on sat. mornings, he sleeps in on sunday morning.

We've done this since johnny was born 4 years ago! It works out great. I sleep till 9 usually, then go out and do stuff for myself. He has the kids half the day on saturday.

Sunday mornings he sleeps in, then we usually do something as a family...


I love the system!!

Almost every weekend

I am up at 515 am every weekday and I take Seamus to daycare and my parents.

He has been unemployed for 5 weeks (luckily just got a new job that will start March 1st)

He get up with Seamus every Saturday and Sunday morning at about 730am. I usually stay in bed until 9am or so

He loved his time with seamus. I can hear them laughing and playing downstairs..

Once in a blue moon, if I tell him. I don't mind getting up, he goes back down and hr later for about an hour and a half. If I'm tired, ill nap with him.

I don't even wanna say how good I have it. My DH works nights and almost always gets up with the kids.

He feeds, changes & dresses the baby and feeds my dd. He gets me up about 9 to drive my dd to school.

He gets about 4 hours of sleep a day! He likes to give me a break. He knows how much I love my sleep and HATE getting up in the AM and it gives him a little time with the kids since he's gone from mid afternoon until the next day.

If he didn't get up with them he'd never see them.

(He also does laundry. cleans etc! I have it soooo good!!!)

When DS was younger and getting up at ungodly early hours he and I used to alternate on some weekends (he would get Saturday and I would get Sunday). We both work during the week so we're all up early.

Now that DS is a little older he sleeps a little later (like 7:30 or 8:30 if we're lucky) but he keeps himself busy in his room watching a dvd so we can both sleep until like 8 or 9am which is good for both of us. My how things have changed that this is considered sleeping in for us.
