Scheduling and starting solids
Ugh I sooooo need help!My boys were s late to starting solids and i'm having SUCH a hard time! I found that since starting them they're eating less during the day and stopped STN. I'm not sure if its a food problem or teething problem but no way to figure it out! In the morning they only want to drink 2 oz which is by no means enough.
It seems to be a chain reaction. They're in daycare during the week so weekends have been rough and I don't know how to schedule feedings.
I'm working and soooo exhausted and always getting sick :(

Re: Scheduling and starting solids
I know your boys are older than mine but here is what I do. We eat three solid meals a day:
Breakfast at 9am Lunch at 1 pm Dinner at 530pm
If it coincides with a bottle I feel them solids first than the bottle after.
As far as formula amounts and STTN the same thing happened to us. I actually just talked to the Ped about it on Monday and she said that as long as they are still eating and gaining weight I dont need to count Oz anymore. They are old enough to dictate how much they want to eat and drink. I dont know if that every docs opinion but thats what I was told.
I hope that helps somewhat.

Re: Scheduling and starting solids
was having the same problem with them not finish tier bottles after meals. Since at this age bottle are more important for them nutrition wise, I started feeding them their bottles before their meals. I find they still eat most of their food and are calmer for the spoon feeding.

Re: Scheduling and starting solids
I've tried it sooooo many different ways. Bottle before, bottle after. I wait an hour or so before feedings. One of them has been eating much better. The other just has no interest. This is sooooo frustrating.
