having second thoughts....
So we moved christopher to a new school. He seems to be more sensory seeking. I don't know if he is just off task because he is off, or the fact that he is not receiving OT anymore at the new school. We have been incorporating his sensory diet at home. But he seems to be decreasing and old atoms are coming back. Sometimes I wished that we didn't change his school.

Re: having second thoughts....
Just want to offer
I am actually in search of an OT who has a very strong background in sensory integration. I found one I am going to call this week. She is located in the hamptons. But she seems to have a wonderful background (trained by the Jean Ayres Center) and developed her own training program. Maybe you want to see an OT on a consultation basis ?
Can he return to his former school ?

Re: having second thoughts....
Yes, DS is all stimming this week. No OT. We also have less OT than you used to with EI. I feel he regressed too since he started school form at home services with EI.
It's a constant battle. Progress and regressions are the name of the game with PDD. It's so frustrating as parents.

Re: having second thoughts....
Just wanted to throw this out there, I know a fabulous OT in Suffolk county who has a really great understanding of SI.....not just throwing sensory based activities at you but he really takes a unique look at your child's sensory profile and exploring triggers etc. FM me for a referral
