Re: burping?

In order to feed them together I used to (and still do at 7 months) prop them on two seperate boppy pillows. When it was time to burp I just stopped feeding them and picked one up and burped him. Then repeat with the other one. I know a lot of women prob the bottles so they dont have to stop the feedings but that never worked for me because my two are wiggle worms.

I always have to stop feeding them and burp one at a time...it was the only thing that worked.

When I am not nursing them. I prop one in a boppy and hold the other in my arms on my lap (he is tiny and doesn't sit well in the boppy) then I stop them and burp one at a time. I feel like sometimes I rush the second one I burp bc the other one wants their bottle back.

Your little guys are too cute!!

Re: burping?

when i had to feed them by myself i either used both boppies and they drank their bottles at the same time.. then i would just take one and burp him, then switch.

or if i didn't use the boppies, i would just feed one, then the other.. it was really time consuming though.

Re: burping?

I sit them both in their boppy's and prop up the bottles. DS has to burp about 5 times a bottle and DD will only burp twice. So i stop DS when he needs to burp and when he is done i prop him back up and repeat with DD.

Re: burping?

Now, they are old enough where I wait until the end of the feeding and just burp one, then the other.
But, when they were tiny, I would feed them in their boppys. Three times during the feeding, I would stop, burp one, then burp the other. It is time consuming, but they need it.
DD always had a tough time burping, so that made it even more difficult! You eventually figure out what burping "method" works for each LO and it will become more efficient.
