One month Old Sleeping Question
Hi Everyone,
Our twins are one month old today and doing great.
Just wanted to check in for some advice and to see what your twins were doing at 4 - 5 weeks.
Patrick is about 10 lbs and eating about 4 oz every 3 hours
Abbey is about 6 lbs and eating 3 oz every 3 hours.
At night I am trying to start a 4 hour strech, do other do this?
If anyone could share their routine when their twins were 4-5 weeks old that would be great. Just want to make sure I am doing the right thing.
They are up a bit more during the day but still sleep during the day quite a bit.
I let them hang out in the bouncer or fisher price rocker, should I be doing more with them?
Thanks again!

Re: One month Old Sleeping Question
When my two were a month old they were just coming home from the NICU so my situation amy be a little different. They were both around 5 pounds and eating about 2-3 ounces every three hours. We were not allowed to go longer than three hours at night because they were preemies and the docs wanted them to gain weight. If yours were full term, and the docs are happy with their weights than I am sure it is fine that you try and go four hour stretches.
In my opinion there isnt much you can do with a 1 month old. We were told to start tummy time right away so we would do a little of that each day usually on our chests because mine were so tiny. Other than that we had them in the bounces or FP rockers as well.
Hope that helps somewhat! Good luck with your two...they are adorable.

Re: One month Old Sleeping Question
glad to hear they are doing good. mine started to do about 4-5 hour stretches at that age. i think i was doing 3-4 ounces per bottle. sounds like you are doing the right thing. one then started to sleep longer than the other for a few weeks. so then i stopped waking the other one. you have to see what works for you and your babies.

Re: One month Old Sleeping Question
My kids are 6 weeks old and your schedule and feedings sounds like exactly what they were doing at that time. I think the dr gave me the ok to do 4 hour stretches at night after 3 or 4 weeks. Now at 6 weeks I don't have to wake them at night. They usually will sleep for about 5 hours and then DS will wake up. Right now I am still waking DD with him because I am afraid I will but up forever in the middle of the night if I don't.
