6-7 month olds...naps?
Just wondering how many naps your 6-7 month old takes...and how long they are awake at a time?
DD is 6 1/2 months...she was taking a nap 2 hours after waking up in teh morning, and then 3 hours after waking up from her first nap. But she seems off lately....she's having trouble going to sleep and having trouble staying asleep for naps....wondering if her routine is changing...TIA!

Re: 6-7 month olds...naps?
My DD is 7 months....she naps every 2 hours for about a half hour each time. She's been skipping a nap in the evening lately and going to bed earlier.
She's also teething so staying asleep has been hard for her....your DD is probably teething too. It's not fun.

Re: 6-7 month olds...naps?
My twins are 7.5 months ( 5.5 adjusted) and they usually take 2 naps a day. The first one is on the morning about 2-3 hours after they wake up. Sometimes it's short (1/2 hr.) sometimes it's long (2.5 hrs.) Then the second one is usually around 5/6:00. And thats usually about an hour or so.
Your DD could possibly be teething and thats why she doesnt stay asleep very well. But they do tend to change their routines too. So I think only time will tell for you.

Re: 6-7 month olds...naps?
My 7.5 month old stays up 2 hours at a time like clock work. She naps anywhere from 40 mins - 2 hours.. she usually takes 3/4 naps a day.
Teething didn't seem to change her daytime routine at all except for being extra clingy and whiney.

Re: 6-7 month olds...naps?
My DS is 7 months old and he takes 2 naps a day. However, how long depends on if you are holding him or if you put him down.
If you hold him - he will give you an hour to an hour and a half
If you put him down - he will wake up like clock work 20 minutes later.
DS has not been a good napper since day 1. He has pretty much cat napped since the beginning.

DS is good for every 2 hours, the last one is usually around 3:30.
Total is 3 naps a day.
Sometimes he sleeps for an hour, sometimes 2 hours.

Re: 6-7 month olds...naps?
DD will be 6 months in 2 weeks and she just started to fall into a nap routine. usually first nap is 2.5 hours after waking up and that lasts 1-2 hours. She takes another nap in the afternoon but we are working on lengthening it. Her 3rd nap is inconsitent.
