Moms that had babies in the summer specificially end of June/Julyish
What did you bring the baby home in. DD's take home outfit is very lightweight but long sleeve and pants and can't imagine bringing her home in that, but then I start to think about AC and everything and don't think its such a bad idea...or do I take her home in something really really light like a sleeveless romper etc...

Ann came home in a footed cotton ducky pj's ... they were the only NB size thing we had (and it was still HUGE).
We came home on July 3rd and it happened to be gorgeous & sunny but unseasonably cool that year (I believe high 70's when we left the hospital).

Re: Moms that had babies in the summer specificially end of June/Julyish
I'm having a sched c on either July 5th or 5th. I have no clue what to bring the baby home in yet!
I remember w/ Mason he came home on a hot day the last day of May. I still had him in a light, cotton long sleeve top and bottoms. The baby is only going to be outside a short time. Plus, you don't want her exposed directly in the sun. THe car and house had the AC on. DH actually started the car a bit and let it run to keep the car cool so it wasn't too hot.

Re: Moms that had babies in the summer specificially end of June/Julyish
My DD was born end of June and it was a heatwave- like 90 degrees the day we came home. I had brought long sleeve and long pants to the hospital and also a short sleeve outfit. I ended up taking her home in short sleeves. It was SOOOO hot that day and the nurse advised me not to over dress her

I think this is what I'm going to do, have DD's outfit on hand as well as get her a cute short sleeve outfit and pick the day of!!! Thanks!!!

We had DD 7/7 & she came home in a sundress/ballet shoes. It was fine. We had a blanket covering her in the car & only our parents were home. We took a few pictures & then changed her. Image Attachment(s):

July 29th - the twins came home in long sleeves and pants, and blankets too! The a/c was so cold in the hospital and we also had it on in the car and in our house.

DS was born June 24th during a ridiculous heat wave.
We brought him home in a short sleeve onesie with pants and a jacket.
Glad I went that route because he went from an air conditioned hospital, to an ac car, to an ac house.

DD was born July 21st. She came home in a short sleeve jumper thing. It was really a nicer onesie.

We brought DD home the second week in July. We put her in a one piece long sleeve with feet outfit. I think it was a lighter type of cotton. Plus the little kimono newborn shirt underneath.

While Charlie was born June 10th, it was during a heatwave. We brought her home in an organic cotton, long sleeve footie. She went from car ac to CAC.

Jason came home June 29th and it was mid 90s that day. We brought to outfits and the NICI nurse said the cotton L/S feetie pj was best.

June 28th last year and it was HOT.
He had a short sleeve outfit but it was big so it went more like 3/4 sleeves...he had shorts but they were also very big so more like pants and a light weight pair of booties. I had a blanket, but we only used the blanket in the ac.

AJ was born in August.. but a VERY hot August! I brought her home in long sleeve footsie. My truck was running with the AC on before she got in. House was running with the aC too.
mostly she spent time in short sleeve onsies tho after that.

Both my kids were born in June and they both came home in short-sleeved onesies, pants and socks. We also had a blanket on hand.
