all attorneys are notaries (whether they have their stamp is another story), so you shouldn't have to have a separate notary there. most title closers are notaries as well.

There should be no separate notary fee at a closing. Also, I've never been to a closing (I've attended thousands) where the title closer wasn't a notary. Notarizing closing documents is a big part of their job. As a buyer, you do give the title closer an appearance fee, sometimes called a "tip". This fee is between $100-$150.
