Kindle question and reading in the dark

So there is no back light? Like if I want to read in bed after DH goes to sleep.....I can't? Screen doesn't lightChat Icon

No but they sell reading lights that attach to the Kindle or the cover - check Amazon

eInk readers are very similar to real books. No backlighting, but that's what makes them so appealing to a lot of people. The backlighting is what bothers most people's eyes.

Definitely. If it was backlit it would be like reading off a computer screen which is definitely not good to do for an extended period of time... unless you are on LIF. Chat Icon

So true! Which is why I went with the Kindle in the first place! Just didnt even think about reading in the dark.
Ok no problem just wasnt sure if I was missing things.

The only time I really get the chance to read is at night in bed, DH goes to sleep and the lights are out. I have a kindle cover with a light and its great!

they have kindle covers with the light built in. (it pops up for night reading)
DH can't wait to get me that so he can finally get some sleep! Chat Icon

I just use my book light that attaches to the kindle cover! :)
