When in labor is DH in the room when......
you get the epi?
I was talking with my relative from Boston and she told me that her DH wasnt allowed in the room when she got the epi. Not sure if this depends on the hospital or not.
Just wondering, was your DH in the room?

They asked my DH to leave the room when I got the epi. The nurse and anesthesiologist were the only ones in the room.

My DH was allowed to stay in the room. I think it depends on the hospital.

I delivered at Good Sam -- they did not allow the DH to remain in the room. The anesthesiologist told my DH that it's their policy that when an epi is given, the DH/coach must leave no matter what.
It seems to depend on the hospital, but most lean towards the notion that the DH shouldn't be in the room.

My DH does not want to be in the room if and when I get the epi.
he hates needles and the last thing i need is him passing out. lol

DH was in the room with me. He stood in front of the bed while I was sitting on the edge of the bed hugging a pillow. They never mentioned him leaving.

I delivered there twice (2nd time being 6 weeks ago) and they allowed DH to stay
