Infant to Toddler Rocker and FP Rock N Play Sleeper?
I have a baby boy coming in 2 months and every time i go to Target i keep passing by the Fisher Price Rock N Play sleeper, the Infant to Toddler Rocker was bought off my registry and have been hearing great reviews about the Rock N Play and newborns....do i really need both? I live in a 2 story house but have the Arms Reach co-sleeper upstairs so i don't need anything upstairs per say. WWYD?

Re: Infant to Toddler Rocker and FP Rock N Play Sleeper?
The rock and play sleeper is awesome. It was better than a pack and play for us. It is so transportable, keeps the baby at a great angle to aid digestion, and allows the baby to rock itself. For under $50, its one of the best baby items. I brought it everywhere and my baby slept great in it. I know 4 other moms who have it and love it too!

we have both. IMO, the rock and play sleeper is for birth to about 6 months. we started using the toddler rocker around 8 months when he outgrew the rock and play sleeper.
once they start sitting up, the rock and play sleeper is over

Re: Infant to Toddler Rocker and FP Rock N Play Sleeper?
The FP rock n play sleeper is actually approved for nighttime sleeping so it can be used as a bassinet. DD has slept in it exclusively her whole life (she's 5 1/2 months now).
The downside is that she refuses to sleep in her crib (I tried yesterday for a nap for the first time since the fabric from her RnP was in the dryer) since she's totally not used to it. It's like this giant empty space and she's scared. But I"ll keep trying... I love having her in our room and I love that she will nap anywhere when we bring it along. Sleeping at our ILs is as easy and normal for her as sleeping at home since she's in her same bed (unlike DH and I who have to deal with the most uncomfortable mattress ever).
I definitely plan to get the rocking chair a little later on once she's trying to flip out of her bouncer and the RnP is no longer usable... but you can't beat its convenience or ease. Also, for babies with any sort of reflux issues, it's a godsend.

Re: Infant to Toddler Rocker and FP Rock N Play Sleeper?
I dont know anything about the infant to toddler rocker, but the FP Rock N Play Sleeper has been a lifesaver for us. Our colickly little guy will only sleep in that sleeper or on my chest. He has a really hard time lying on his back so the incline of the sleeper has been helpful. For naps while I am awake, I sometimes put him in there on his side which really helps him. We also bring it everywhere. We have a bassinet, a very nice crib and the $200 mamaroo swing and this very inexpensive option is really the only thing he likes.

The rock &play sleeper is awesome. Dd slept in it everynight until 11 weeks, it was getting a little snug for her and she's been in her crib the last few weeks. But it was a lifesaver and we brought it everywhere. So worth it.

Re: Infant to Toddler Rocker and FP Rock N Play Sleeper?
We only had the infant to toddler rocker and used it since day 1 for my DD to sit and nap in. Actually she sleeps in it alot since she needs to be upright. Now at almost 2 years and 1 year both my LO's fight over who gets to curl up in the chair as they both love it sooo much.

DS is 15m and will climb into it and lounge for like 12 seconds, stand up and. Climb again. Sometimes hell have his milk sippy and ill read to him in it, I think its big enough to be used a while longer too.
But I can't imagine him ever napping there, because I can just see him flipping over in his sleep.

Re: Infant to Toddler Rocker and FP Rock N Play Sleeper?
Happy to see this thread; I just got the FP Infant-To-Toddler Rocker. Sonya is 6 months on June 30th and starting to outgrow her Graco Oasis Bouncy Seat. She's still in her FP Precious Planet Bouncer (we keep one upstairs and one down), but I wanted to plan ahead for the grow out (LOL). She still loves to be in them and i love to put her in the bouncer when I'm cooking; she also loves to sit and watch the action around her. She is flipping all over the place now like a little monkey, but this item seemed like that perfect thing once the bouncy and swing are history. I'm putting it together today. I ordered online from BB Baby in Pink and it was cheaper ($42.99!) than in store, where it sells for over $50. Wish I had seen the newborn rocker; I would have bought that when she was smaller and love how portable it looks.

You don't need both, but they are both great to have. I had the Rock and Play sleeper and we used it a lot, especially on vacation and just hanging out in the living room. She also slept in it for 3 months. The rocker is great because it grows with them, but we barely used ours because we had those flip out couches for DS and DD didn't like it.

Re: Infant to Toddler Rocker and FP Rock N Play Sleeper?
We have both but you definitely don't need both.
At 15months we are still using the Rock and Play sleeper once in awhile (for example- it was so hot in her room last night we let her sleep in it in our room in the AC) She is definitely getting big for it- but the weight limit is 25lbs and and she is under that so I let it go.
I would use the Infant to Toddler rocker- but I had brought it to work with me for her.
