Am I wrong? and WWYD?
First let me say that I know maybe this belongs to "health" but I hope it doesn't get moved. So here is the story: I have been breaking out really badly this past few weeks, and I have been getting weird bumps under my skin, so finally (after waiting for 2 months for an appt) I saw a dermatologist this Tue. She prescribed few things and told me to come back for an extraction in 4 weeks. I tried making an appointment in 4 weeks , but there is nothing available until mid Agust, so almost 8 weeks. First I feel like that's a very long wait for an appt (no matter how good the dr) and also I have my DD's party mid Aug and my face will look very irritated for few days after the extraction, if I wait until after the party that means even longer wait time , plus the DR is due to have her baby around that time.... Anyway I just called the office again and asked if they can get me anything at all and they said no, I got annoyed and told them that's not acceptable... So my Q is : I have the dr's email address since that's how she communicates with her patients. Should I email her and "complain" or just leave it and wait. WWYD? I know this is not the end of the world and maybe even sounds silly, but I am just so frustrated with my skin lately and just want it to be better already. Plus I find it unacceptable having to wait this long for an appt. Thanks for reading

can you call "regularly" and see if there are any cancelled appts? I HATE when waits are that long to see a doc!

I would email the doctor & see if she has any flexibility in her schedule & if not, if she has a recommendation of another dermatologist that can do the extraction.
That sends her the message that she may be losing a patient without threatening to leave.

Re: Am I wrong? and WWYD?
I had a rash on my leg from snorkeling - I called my derm - they said the next appt was 6 weeks out. I mentioned again that I have an active rash - and they said "Sorry, all we have is 6 weeks from now."
I found another derm who got me in 2 days later.

I would definitely email the doc and let her know. If she can't get you in sooner tell her you will have to start with a new derm.
First get another appt.
